S()fia Braga

S()FIA BRAGA is an Italian transmedia artist and AI film director based in Vienna. Her work explores emerging technologies to create speculative fabulations that engage with themes such as human–non-human collaboration, non-human agency, and transhumanism. In parallel, Braga’s research examines the concept of Interveillance, uncovering the hidden power dynamics embedded in the operational structures of centralized social media platforms and their sociological implications.

Braga has received several awards, including the AI in Art Grant from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts and Culture, the Kunstförderpreis der Stadt Linz, the Content Vienna Award, and the Bank Austria Studios Award, among others. Her work has been exhibited at renowned institutions and festivals such as Haus der Kulturen der Welt (DE), Kunstforum Wien (AT), Ars Electronica Festival (AT), Xie Zilong Photography Museum (CN), Short Shorts & Asia Film Festival (JP), and the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale (IT), among others.
