Lynn Turner

Originally trained as an artist, Lynn Turner is a writer working between continental philosophy (especially deconstruction), feminist theory, psychoanalysis, animal studies, art and visual culture. She is currently completing an epistolary volume co-authored with Sharon Kivland (Singes/Signes, Tenement, 2028) and several essays working through the ‘gift of death’ with the poetics of fire.

Her most recent book is the edited collection Erotics of Deconstruction: Auto-Affection After Derrida (Edinburgh University Press, 2024) for which her own contribution focused on the future of blood in the work of Jenny Holzer.

Other recent books include Poetics of Deconstruction: on the threshold of differences (Bloomsbury, 2022) and the co-edited volume (with Undine Sellbach and Ron Broglio) The Edinburgh Companion to Animal Studies (Edinburgh University Press, 2019).
