Intersectional Solidarity in Housing and Public Space

PANEL DISCUSSION IN THE AUSTRIAN PAVILION

How do we conceive of, design, and co-produce public spaces founded on intersectional solidarity? How might the phenomenon of platform urbanism, in its literal and conceptual connotations, hurt or hinder the production of such egalitarian spaces? For this feature of PLATFORM AUSTRIA’s autumn programme, CARMEN LAEL HINES will engage in critical conversation with YING-TZU LIN (SLUTTY URBANISM), MILAGROS HURTIG ( URBAN FEMINA), and activist, urbanist, and architect GABU HEINDL to unpack the questions presented above.

Engaging intersectional feminism with platform urbanism, the intervention will explore how we can co-produce cities centred on human rights and inclusion for all.

This event will be open to all visitors to the Biennale Architettura 2021 without prior registration.
