Drawing on the rich legacy of twentieth century artistic enquiries into spatial patterns, this project aims to expand our understanding of the ways in which data technologies and platform services have massively changed our participation in basic aspects of urban life.

The project seeks to set up an innovative framework for city-mapping which centres on citizen experience of urban space. It recognises the citizen science approach as a radically democratic and urgent approach for identifying the essential components which constitute a city.
