Sebastian JOBST

SEBASTIAN JOBST is the founder and managing director of Konnektom, a platform for cultural management, curation, and communication that realizes a wide range of projects in the fields of art, music, and architecture. He is currently coordinating the Creative Europe project ARCH-E with Anna Resch on behalf of the Federal Chamber of Architects and Chartered Engineering Consultants (BKZT), collaborating on the Creative Europe project UREHERIT, and directing the experimental film festival art+film+vienna.

He studied art history at the University of Vienna and architectural theory at the Technical University Vienna and Yildiz Üniversitesi Istanbul. From 2011 to 2014, as editor-in-chief of KONstruktiv, a multidisciplinary specialist publication of the BKZT, he examined the interactions between technology, aesthetics and society. Before founding Konnektom, he and Anna Resch developed the concept for the visionary architecture award Superscape, whose realization he oversaw in its first two editions. He also co-developed and implemented the discursive discussion series hinterhof kontrovers on current topics in urban planning, architecture, and urbanism. In 2014, he served as project manager and editor for the cultural-historical publication Tor zur Welt – Das InterContinental Wien seit 1964, which was named one of the 10 most beautiful books of 2014. In 2015, under the project management of the newly founded Konnektom, the English version Since 1964 – A View To The World – Hotel InterContinental Vienna was published, expanded by two chapters.
